TheHexlock Shield (Japanese:魔封じの盾Magic Sealing Shield) is an accessory item in the shield category ofequipment that debuted inFire Emblem Gaiden. InGaiden, the Hexlock Shield, while equipped, serves to reduce theaccuracy of magic attacks against the holder to 10%;Echoes: Shadows of Valentia instead has the Hexlock Shield boost the holder'sresistance by 7 points while equipped, and allows it to take half damage against enemyblack magic spells. InFire Emblem: Three Houses, the Hexlock Shield also gives a small boost ofprotection in addition to theresilience boost but no longer has any secondary effects.
InShadows of Valentia, the Hexlock Shield's effect of halving incoming magic damage can stack with theDread Fighter'sApotrope skill, resulting in a total of 75% reduction in incoming magic damage.
