Heavy Blade (Japanese:剛剣Tough Sword) is askill which debuted inFire Emblem Fates. InFates, it is a bonus class skill associated with theVanguard class; inHeroes, it is a four-tiered type A passive skill (whose individiual tiers areHeavy Blade 1,Heavy Blade 2,Heavy Blade 3, andHeavy Blade 4 in order from lowest to highest). InFates, Heavy Blade is a skill that grants a sizable boost to the user'sstrength at the slight cost of a point ofspeed; inHeroes, the skill increases its user's special cooldown charge if theirattack is sufficiently higher than their foe's; the required difference decreases with the skill's tier up to the third tier, with the fourth tier adding a boost to its user's damage.
