Heal (Japanese:ライブLive) is a healingstaff which was introduced inFire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light and appears in every game of the series with the exception ofGaiden andEchoes: Shadows of Valentia, in whichRecover takes its place. It is the most basic of the healing staves, typically restoring a minimum of 10HP to one adjacent ally. Although its healing output is much lower than the more advanced staves, its minimalweapon level means any staff-wielding unit can use it without needing to increase their rank, which is particularly useful for newly-promoted units who have just gained the ability to use staves.

Heal is a common skill inFire Emblem Cipher, found on cards depicting members of healer classes. Characters who have cards with Heal includeLena,Maria,Marisha,Yuliya,Ethlyn,Edain,Lana,Jeanne,Coirpre,Elen,Clarine,Serra,Priscilla,Tiena,Rhys,Mist,Laura,Lissa,Maribelle,Brady,Emmeryn,Elise,Jakob,Felicia,Forrest,Dwyer, andArete. The skill has the same effect on all of these cards: for a cost of 2 bonds, the user may choose one discarded card in their Retreat Area which does not depict the current user of the skill, and add that card to their hand.

- Heal is the Japanese name of theReconcile staff skill inFire Emblem Heroes.
- The Official Nintendo Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Player's Guide erroneously states that the Heal staff has 30 uses and worth 600G, which is only true for the Japanese version of the game.[1]
