Grahnye (Japanese:グラーニェGrahnye) was the wife of KingEldigan of theAgustrian state ofNordion, and the mother ofAres.

Biography

Grahnye originated fromLeonster in theMunster District, where her parents continued to reside following her departure to marry Eldigan.[citation needed] A frail woman according to Ares, during the Agustrian war withGrannvale, Eldigan sent Grahnye and Ares away from Agustria to protect them from the conflict, where they lived with her parents for a time.[1] Following theBattle of Belhalla, Grannvale launched an invasion of the Munster District to subdue all of its potential rivals, and Grahnye was killed in the invasion; the orphaned Ares was found and adopted by the mercenaryJavarro.[1]

According to Ares, Grahnye blamedSigurd for Eldigan's death.[2]
