In a forest in the middle of the night,Lloyd tells his brotherLlewelyn that he's tired—they can't keep up the duty as they lack the strength; Llewelyn states that they need to find another individual to do their work, preferably someone ripped. Llewelyn sees something and asks Lloyd if he also sees it, to which Lloyd asks if his fingernails need trimming; Llewelyn states that there's a gang of brawny folk (Corrin and their army) approaching the area, to which Lloyd asks if they know someone who can help them, with Llewelyn stating they are the ones who can help them and gets Corrin's attention. Corrin asks the twins if they are talking to them, to which Llewelyn confirms and asks them if they has bad hearing; Corrin denies the accusation and then asks them how they can help them. Lloyd states that he and Llewelyn guard the nearby ruins and reveal that someone's been raiding their temple, to which Corrin asks if this place is sacred to them, with Llewelyn confirming; Llewelyn states that the ruins might not look interesting, all that's left are stones and buried treasure, with Lloyd adding that looters sneak in and tear up the place with theiraxes and shovels. Corrin notes it as a terrible act, wagering that the looters are destroying the artifacts, then asks Lloyd and Llewelyn why they don't stand guard and catch the looters; Llewelyn states that Lloyd has a "derelict consternation", to which Corrin corrects to "delicate constitution", with Llewelyn stating he just said so—and states Lloyd would have nightmares for a month. Corrin states that they won't let a sacred place be defiled in such a fashion, they and their friends will help; Lloyd thanks Corrin, that they is the best, to which Corrin states they'll set up a watch. Llewelyn answers that the looters come very late at night, so they'll want to stay up until dawn, prompting a shocked reaction from Corrin; Llewelyn states that he and Lloyd are off to bed, that they'd better get into their pajamas and they'll sleep good that night.

The following morning, Corrin wakes up, noting the morning has come and stating they thought the sun would never come up; they, despite knowing their promise to keep watch, doubts their army's helpfulness—not hearing so much as a peep. Corrin asksFelicia/Jakob if they saw anyone suspicious, only to find Felicia/Jakob still sleeping; Corrin wakes them up, who then asks him if she can help/denies having slept in. Corrin asks them if they didn't see anything unusual the previous night, to which Felicia/Jakob replies they did indeed not see a thing—with Corrin saying they believes them since they were asleep; then says they too saw nothing—at which point they hears sounds from the ruins and asks Felicia/Jakob if they also heard; Felicia/Jakob states they hear digging noises and asks if the someone is searching for the treasure. Corrin states they doesn't know, then asks how the invaders got inside; Felicia/Jakob states they couldn't have slipped past them as they would have seen them, to which Corrin confirms some of them would have seen them—those of them who were awake! Felicia/Jakob again tells Corrin they didn't sleep a wink; Corrin asks Felicia/Jakob to have a look, then calls them to come over, with the latter complying...

We cut to inside the ruins, where Corrin spots the invaders—and notes that they're not looters, but ghosts! Corrin notes that the ghosts came up through the spring, to which Felicia/Jakob states she doesn't believe ghosts would raid the temple and destroy the ruins; Corrin states that it's time for them to clean house, to which Felicia/Jakob states she's ready—it's a good thing she got all that sleep the previous evening, hence she's ready to go. Corrin says he knew Felicia/Jakob was asleep, and states they'd better hurry—the ghosts are stealing all of the treasure; he states they've got to get that gold back before the ghosts disappear.Preparations take place at this point.

Once the battle ends, Corrin states that now that the ghosts have been taken care of, they can finally head to bed—but first they need to do something with all of the gold; Felicia/Jakob notes that the ghosts were greedy, and states that they wouldn't miss a few small coins. Corrin tells Felicia/Jakob to put the gold back, they'll be returning every last piece to Lloyd and Llewelyn, to which Felicia/Jakob states it was worth a try; Llewelyn thanks Corrin for scaring off the looters, with Lloyd stating they owe him one, with Corrin stating he's just glad they were able to get rid of the ghosts for them. Llewelyn asks where the gold coins came from, to which Corrin states that the ghosts were stealing them from beneath the ruins and it belongs to them; Lloyd asks Corrin to take the gold as a reward, as his army stayed up all night protecting the ruins and deserve a reward. Felicia/Jakob states it sounds great, to which Corrin states that she meant they couldn't possibly accept the gold; Llewelyn states that Lloyd's right, they slept like babies and this gold's their way of saying thanks, with Lloyd stating that the gold's theirs. Corrin tells Lloyd and Llewelyn that's very generous of them and that they feels bad, but promises the gold will go to a worthy cause—they'll use it to build a better future; Llewelyn asks Corrin to promise him that, if the ghosts come back, they'll help them again, with Lloyd stating they could always use someone to help them keep watch. Corrin states that they're done with all-nighters for awhile, then states that they has to run; Lloyd asks Llewelyn if he thinks they should have told them the gold's cursed, that last time Llewelyn touched the gold, he had bad breath for a week; Llewelyn states that they'll figure it out.

Note: The returning characters list represents the minimum characterbase recruitable by the point the player can first access the Dragon's Gate. Felicia is only a returning character if Corrin is male, while Jakob is only a returning character if Corrin is female. If more chapters along the chosen main story path are cleared, or if anyparalogues are cleared, the player can have access to characters not listed here by the point the chapter is first started. Asbonus units are recruitable at the player's discretion, the returning characters list does not list them either.

Strategy

This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.

This section has been marked as astub. Please help improve the page by adding information.

Reinforcement formations, while randomized both in which formation(s) emerge and in which corners, do tend to follow one specific pattern based on the number of formations that emerge on a turn. Should a player defeat enough enemies and/or keep a certain number of enemies from fleeing, they will enable reinforcement triggers; the number of reinforcement formations that emerge on the latter seven turns will follow a 2-1-2-2-2-3-3 pattern, with the next number in the sequence emerging upon triggering a reinforcement trigger.
