Flora (Japanese:フローラFlora) is amaid working underCorrin. She isFelicia's elder twin sister. Flora is a more capable vassal than her sister, and is more serious in personality than her.

Flora is the older twin sister of Felicia and a maid for the Nohr royal family, serving Corrin. She is the eldest daughter of the Ice Tribe's chieftain, Kilma.

Analysis

Flora joins in the lategame as a pre-promotedMaid. She has decent stats all around, but will be nowhere near fully-trained units by this point. Her primary role is as a filler healer, a role she does quite well in thanks to her B staff level and Troubadour base class. However, her magic growth is not very high despite being in a magical class, meaning in the long-term, it may be better to invest in her physical combat. Flora's personal skill,Icy Blood, lets an attacker fighting at 2 or more range take half of the damage they deal, while also receiving a -3 debuff to skill and speed. She also starts withResistance +2 for extra magical bulk,Demoiselle to let male units take less damage, andLive to Serve to heal damage equal to what amount of health she healed to an ally. At level 15, she gainsTomebreaker for a powerful offensive skill, as she'll have +50 to hit and avoid against tomes. However, her resistance at base is quite high, mitigating the skill's usefulness and reason to obtain it.

Flora has one option of remaining in Maid and using twoArms Scrolls to act as a last resortBifröst user for the endgame, or reclassing toStrategist for the mobility of a mount. This class takes away HP and defense for more resistance, strength for extra magic, and gives extra luck. If the player wants to gear Flora to a supportive role,Rally Resistance andInspiration work perfectly to move towards that goal. Her high base magic also lessens the impact of only having E rank tomes to start.

Dark Mage is a great reclass set with both promotions,Sorcerer andDark Knight, being powerful classes, with powerful skills to boot. Either of these classes can receiveHeartseeker for -20 avoid for adjacent enemies, andMalefic Aura for +2 magical damage to foes within two spaces of Flora. Sorcerer turns Flora into a more formidable magical attacker with +4 magic and resistance, though most of her other stats are reduced.Vengeance gives extra attack power if she is not at full HP, though the proc can be unreliable, andBowbreaker gives massive amounts of hit and avoid against bows. Since tomes already have weapon triangle advantage against bows, she may not need this skill, though it does have good use against powerful bow-wielding bosses likeTakumi. Dark Knight is slower and less accurate and lucky than Maid, but makes her much more suited for combat in most other key stats.Seal Magic can help cripple the damage of magical units, andLifetaker lets Flora regain health after killing a foe on player phase. She doesn't have very high bulk in HP and defense, which can limit where she can best use it.

TheMercenary class tree potentially synergizes better with Flora since she has a higher strength base and growth compared to magic. The classes she has access to areHero andBow Knight. Both of these classes can obtain Mercenary's skills due to Flora being promoted.Good Fortune isn't super reliable since she doesn't have a super high luck base, though her growth is average.Strong Riposte gives +3 damage on enemy phase, making this a powerful skill. Hero turns Flora into a more typical physical unit by increasing her physical stats, while reducing her magical ones.Sol gives her a chance at healing while doing damage in one strike, andAxebreaker gives more hit and avoid against axes. This skill is a bit more important if she reclasses back to Maid since shurikens have a disadvantage against axes. Compared to Hero, Bow Knight gives extra speed and resistance, and has the utility of a mount, but she'll be weaker, less bulky in some areas, and less skilled, though bows are a fairly accurate weapon.Rally Skill supports a Flora who wants to help out allies in whatever ways she can, andShurikenbreaker gives +50 to hit and avoid against shurikens. This skill is immensely useful in theConquest Lunatic endgame chapters, whereMaster Ninjas and Maids can have theInevitable End skill, which can severely cripple even your best units.

Flora's only options for obtaining new classes viaFriendship orPartner Seals areCorrin andFelicia. Felicia doesn't actually provide a new class for Flora, only allowing her to reclass to Mercenary using a Friendship Seal, though Felicia will appreciate Flora's Dark Mage. Corrin can pass a multitude of classes depending on his chosen talent, increasing Flora's flexibility. If the player would want Flora as a magically supportive or combat unit, she'll want a Corrin with aDiviner orMonk talent. For general combat,Ninja,Cavalier,Wyvern Rider, orFighter are your best options.

InConquest, Flora is the only first-generation marriage option for male Corrin where the player can recruit all child units aside fromAnna, who is paid DLC. Marrying any of the other first-generation females prevents at least one potential father from having children, and marryingNiles prevents both from having children. If the player does not wish to marry Corrin to any of the second generation characters while still attaining all of them, Flora cleanly enables this.

Fire Emblem Heroes

Role

There are three different variations of Flora available toHeroes. The normal variation of Flora is one of the characters added to the game in theA Way Home update, and became available for summoning by players on September 14, 2018. A picnic variation of Flora was made available between April 19, 2019 and May 19, 2019 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of theA Season for Picnics update. An Ice Tribe-themed variant of Felicia was added on September 6, 2024, and was first available to summon from then to October 3, 2024.

The normal variation of Flora is the first character inHeroes to become part of the regular summoning pool to not wield a weapon type that was part of the game atHeroes's initial launch, being the initial wielder ofred daggers, added to the game alongside the earlierFestival in Hoshido update.

Flora is a model servant, more likeJakob than like Felicia, constantly attending toCorrin's needs or making sure everything is well kept to prevent any displeasure they may have.^[1][2] Flora unintentionally serves as a role model for Felicia to aspire to become.^[3]

Flora can cause the air to cool or snow to fall around her; she can lose control of this power when feeling strong emotion.^[4]

In contrast to both Felicia and Jakob, Flora prioritizes the Ice Tribe to Corrin. InBirthright andRevelation, she remains loyal toGaron and opposes Corrin when Garon threatens to destroy the Ice Tribe.^[5][6] InConquest, Flora tries to expel Corrin and their army from the Ice Tribe's village believing they would murder the people of the Ice Tribe to put down the rebellion, though she is proven wrong when they do not.

Flora: Cold as Ice
Flora is a maid who works in Nohr, but she’s not just any house servant! She’s one of the most accomplished maids to have ever served Nohr’s royal family—and, working alongside her twin sister, Felicia, she serves none other than Corrin!	Flora’s origins lie with the Ice Tribe, who have power over cold and frost. When her emotions get the better of her, she can summon raging blizzards, and I hear that she even froze a sea solid during her battles in another world.	Despite her abilities, however, Flora isn’t very confident about her fighting skills, and she’s envious of the strength of her sister…who has a tendency to leave a trail of mayhem in her wake.	Still, whether on the battlefield or in more peaceful surroundings, Flora gives her all to serve Corrin. Ah, imagine having a consummate maid like her at your beck and call!

• Flora is the only one of Corrin's retainers who does not possess an effect equivalent to any number of built-inEternal Seals, and thus will initially stop theirexperience growth at level 20 (40 ifreclassed into a special class such asGrandmaster), as opposed to being able to go on to level 30 asGunter can, or to level 40 asFelicia andJakob can.
• Flora is the only retainer of Corrin that can actually die if she is defeated in Classic Mode. All the other retainers (including Gunter) simply retreat if they are defeated.
