The Draconic Time Crystal or "Time Crystal" is a key item inFire Emblem Engage. When in the player's possession, it allows the manipulation of time by letting the player undo actions in combat much likeDivine Pulse.
Role
The crystal is first seen inchapter 3 where it is dropped by theHooded Figure during their escape after attackingLumera. After the chapter, during the first visit toThe Somniel,Vander aproachesAlear with the crystal which he found in the ring Vault. Not knowing who it belonged to, Alear took it claiming to feel a connection to it. Duringchapter 4, after the first turn of battle, the player gains the ability to use it to rewind time.
Using the Crystal
The crystal is found in the pause menu and once selected, it shows all the actions taken from the beginning of the fight or, during certain chapters, from the point you gain the ability to use it. By selecting one of the points, the state of the battle is reset to how it was at that point.
It has unlimited uses in Normal mode but is limited to 10 uses per fight in Hard and Maniac mode.
Losing the Crystal
During the events ofchaper 10, Veyle steals the time crystal back from Alear along with the 6 rings in their possession. This means that duringchapter 11, which is immediately after 10, you are unable to use the time rewinding feature untilIvy,Kagetsu and,Zelkov show up. Zelkov managed to swipe the crystal back from Veyle and gives it back to you allowing you to rewind time from that point onward.
