Fire Emblem Wiki:Featured Articles

From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.

Welcome to the Featured Articles page. This is where editors of Fire Emblem Wiki nominate pages for featured status on the front page of this wiki. Featured articles should include the following:

  1. ProperAmerican English. That means everything must be written in American English (ex: color and not colour) and have proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  2. Lengthy and detailed, but not contain repeating information to make it appear longer (aside from templates).
  3. Well organized so each information flows nicely.
  4. Cite sources and cite them properly.
  5. Properly categorized. No category? No nomination.
  6. Contains the most up-to-date information about the article.
  7. No notice templates. No template should be included on the page that marks it or a section as a stub, nor should any section. As well, no page should have a grammar template on it.
  8. NOT be copied from Wikipedianor Fire Emblem Wikia or any other Fire Emblem wiki.

There are also specific rules to nominating an article which are as follows:

Rules

  1. A minimum offour (4) votes in support of the article are needed for a page to become featured.
  2. You cannot vote in support for the article you have nominated.
  3. All votes should be placed properly under the support or oppose sections, with your vote starting off with #, and explanation on why you think this is a page worthy of being featured, and finally ending with your signature (~~~~). For instance: "# I really like the Ike page. It has a lot of information about the character! ~~~~." Any vote without a proper signature will be removed. As well, any vote that merely says: "I approve" "I like this page" or anything similar will be removed too. A perfect example of a vote would be: "I think this page has a lot of helpful information and it is clear enough to assist me on knowing aboutcavaliers."

Opposition guidelines

  1. You cannot use an opposition vote simply because you hate the subject (like you hate a certain villian).
  2. Opposition votes should only be used when the article does not meet the requirements above.

If anadministrator deems that a particular opposition does not follow these guidelines, it will be negated.

Garreg Mach Monastery

This is an article I've been working on a lot these last few months because I do believe it would make for a good featured article. I do believe this one would be worth including due to its importance to the game it appears in, being a representative for a feature that appears to be here to stay, and because it details a subject that I believe a lot of users would actually find useful given how popular Three Houses is and how many guides there are on optimising the monastery. Additionally, most featured articles and proposals at the moment appear to focus on characters, so this may be a good "representative" for a major mechanic in my opinion.

Support

I agree that this should be a featured article. It looks really fleshed out with all different types of information that anyone going to the page might be looking for. I give this one vote of support
Fire Emblem Guy (talk) 11:43, 5 August 2025 (CST)

I also agree! The article is incredibly in-depth, and has information on basically anything one might want to know about Garreg Mach. Information is clean and concise, there's the occasional nice image to supplement text, the data tables are straightforward and comprehensible. Links to more in-depth articles on specific features are in all appropriate places. Absolutely zero complaints.

  1. I vote in favor. I believe that the few minor issues which existed with the page have now been resolved, and I think that Luna's impressive work detailing the workings of Garreg Mach is worth highlighting.AquaticEsty (talk) 18:24, 3 September 2025 (UTC)

Arvis

Arvis's article is well-written, has a comprehensive biography, features complete stats for all of his appearances (includingAwakening growth rates), a detailed personality section, and plenty of citations; the article is essentially complete with no major improvements needed. Therefore, I believe it deserves to be a featured article.Eyacorkett (talk) 11:50, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Remove the featured article system

I believe that, as only four articles have ever been featured in the history of the Fire Emblem Wiki, and a featured request has been open for over a full year with no support or opposition voted, the featured article system should be removed entirely. Dudhhr 7:44, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Support

Agreed. If the system is not going to be utilized, it serves no purpose.BrandedOne (talk) 10:18, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Oppose

I disagree. The feature article system has a lot of potential to provide knowledge to others and can help welcome more people into the series, by providing quick and easy information about game entries.Armatts (talk) 09:25, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
I also disagree. The feature article system can help both wiki editors by showing them what a well-constructed article should look like by giving a clear visual and wiki users since they know that they will be reading a well-written article, which can potentially interest them in the franchise and fanbase as a whole.Latitude&Longitude (Latitude&Longitude) 04:29, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
  1. While the lack of activity regarding featured articles shows a certain apathy towards active participation, I believe that the removal of this system, rather than a revitilization of it, would not lead to any positive results.AquaticEsty (talk) 18:24, 3 September 2025 (UTC)

I know there's a link to this page under the featured articles, but I wonder if there's a better way to increase the visibility of nominations (and, indeed, the proposal of removing them considering the lack of response, I was only reminded of this through Discord) instead of nuking them. The link does just say to nominate one, not that there are any ongoing. The more "social" aspects of this wiki aren't very active in general. I'm not particularly attached to featured articles or anything, either, though.L95 (talk) 21:27, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

I think that, as the flagship character for the whole franchise and his page being well developped, Marth is a good candidate for being part of the featured articles. Kristak 17:13, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

  1. Marth feels like a double-edged sword; being the face of the series means he should be face and center, but it also means he will get included in everything, even in things which people tend to not care about. At any rate, the page features multiple stub templates.AquaticEsty (talk) 18:24, 3 September 2025 (UTC)

Unfortunately it is missing anyTokyo Mirage Sessions information whatsoever. I would support it more if it had that.PikaSamus (talk) 17:31, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

Fire Emblem Awakening

Scrolling through the page for Awakening I saw that it had complete information and that it looked clean, which is why I think it should be one of the featured articles. --Hanes (talk) 05:39, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

I think Awakening would be a fine candidate for a featured article. With the game itself introducing many people to the series and renewing interest in the series and with its tenth anniversary of its release in Japan coming up, I see this as a perfect nomination for a featured article.Armatts (talk) 09:49, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Haar

Haar's page contains a well-documented biography, covering the events beforeFire Emblem: Path of Radiance, during Path of Radiance, between Path of Radiance andFire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and during Radiant Dawn. Additionally, he has a complete list of statistics and growth rates, along with availability and growth rates mentioned for both games, not to mention an analysis for each. The Personality section is constructed very nicely, and covers his relationships with other characters. Everything in the article is cited impressively well and references are used numerous times. Finally, the article contains images and quotes from all his appearances, includingFire Emblem Heroes andFire Emblem Cipher. An issue I could see is that it contains a link toWyvern Ninja, which is a page that does not exist, butBranded, another featured article, also contains links to pages that do not exist likeSpirit Charmer orGrann Desert. Another issue is how some references could be seen as vague due to their length, such as 13.3.Latitude&Longitude (talk) 4:06, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
