Fiana (Japanese:フィアナFiana) is a small village located along the eastern coast ofThracia, to the south-east ofMeath Castle and south of Iz, another village.
History
For much of its history, Fiana was subject to bandit terrorization, acting as the headquarters of a sizable band of brigands. This changed around Grann 766 with the arrival ofEyvel, a travelling mercenary, who singlehandedly drove the bandits out of Fiana and restored order to the town. After saving Fiana, she assumed the role of the village's leader and established theFiana Freeblades to defend both Fiana and its neighbors from criminal aggression.[1]
In Grann 773, the fugitive PrinceLeif ofLeonster arrived in Fiana, along withNanna and an injuredFinn, seeking asylum fromGrannvale's army and a healer for Finn. Eyvel accepted them into her protection in the village, helping Finn raise the two children along with her own adoptive child,Mareeta, for the following three years.[2] Following an assault on the village byRaydrik andWeissmann in Grann 776 and their subsequent abduction of Nanna and Mareeta, Leif and the Freeblades set out to rescue the two, forming the start of Leif's liberation army.

- ↑"Leif: It's all thanks to you, Eyvel. The three years I spent in Fiana were the best of my life. I had so much fun playing, and sometimes fighting with the other young villagers... And you scolded me a lot, but I appreciated it. Finn was my father, you were my mother, Nanna and Mareeta were my sisters... And I had friends like Osian and Halvan... I always wished that those days would last forever. You were my mother, Eyvel... You gave me the warmth that I had long forgotten.
Eyvel: That day... You and Lady Nanna came to Fiana, with Finn lying injured on his horse. Lady Nanna begged me to save her father with her eyes full of tears. But you, Lord Leif, all you did was glare at me and say, 'I'll give you this if you help him,' showing me the sword at your side. You said it was a keepsake of your mother...I remember wondering about the hardships that such a young boy had been through. Lord Leif, I have no memory of my youth. A little over ten years ago, I was rescued by the villagers after washing up on the coast of Iz. Who am I? Was I married? Did I have any children? I have no way of knowing. But when I saw you two, I sensed that something similar had happened to me in my past. And from that day on, I vowed to raise you as my children. However...I never guessed that you were the prince of Leonster..." —Leif andEyvel,Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
