Eremiya (Japanese:エレミヤEremiya) is the head of a group of assassins and the apparent main antagonist of an exclusive side plot inFire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem primarily encompassing itsside quest chapters. She raised her underlingsReese,Clarisse, andLegion, along with countless others, from young ages in darkness, treating them in a manner similar to puppets.

Eremiya was at one point a kindbishop who looked after war orphans; she became sinister after her orphanage was burned down during a war (not theWar of Shadows, but before it), after which she raised her orphans into assassins.

Although first mentioned inChapter 3x when Clarisse suspects Reese of potentially betraying her, Eremiya first appears inChapter 10x after Legion's final defeat, ordering Clarisse to finish off Legion and dispose of his clones after his failure in his mission. Eremiya later ordered Reese to do the same to Clarisse after her own failure, then sent Reese onto the mission where she ultimately defected.

Eremiya serves as the boss ofChapter 20x, the final chapter of the side plot; there, she calls her remaining underlings into action at her defense, but is ultimately defeated byMarth and his army. The aftermath shows that Eremiya herself had been brainwashed byGharnef into doing his will, as she is killed by Gharnef after having failed her mission.

Eremiya is also a playable character ina bonus mission taking place shortly after the War of Shadows, where she leads her assassins into taking out the remnants of the Soothsires, a group that had apparently been taken out by Marth's army during theWar of Shadows. Once the operation is finished, Gharnef congratulates Eremiya on her success.

Eremiya: Bishop of Woe
Eremiya might seem like a kindly bishop at first, but during the War of Heroes, she was actually the leader of a group of assassins who had their sights set on reviving the Shadow Dragon!	She trained Katarina, Clarisse, and Legion to be killers from an early age, abducted priestesses, and even plotted to assassinate Marth—all to further her ambition of bringing the Shadow Dragon back.	Eremiya didn't have a shred of mercy for her young charges. She treated them like puppets and didn't care if they broke. Yet, she too was a victim of conflict…	She was once the caretaker of an orphanage, and when the children under her care perished as a result of war, Gharnef spied an opportunity and corrupted her broken heart. I hope being in Askr will help mend her ways and she can join us in fighting the good fight!
