TheElixir (Japanese:特効薬Miracle Cure) is the best healingitem in theFire Emblem series, having first appeared inThe Binding Blade and appearing in all but two games since (skippingShadow Dragon andEchoes: Shadows of Valentia); in most of its appearances, it can recover allHP of any unit. It is highly expensive, but in most games it can be used up to three times. The Elixir can be seen as a continuation of theThracia 776 iteration of theVulnerary, which had the same effect.
InFates andEngage, the Elixir is weaker than in other games: although still the best healing item in the game, it now restores only 40 HP in the former and 30 HP in the latter, and, inFates, can only be used one time before disappearing from the inventory.
InHeroes, the Elixir is an item usable only in theArena Assault mode, and is a powerful item capable of restoring a very large amount of HP to all of the player's units.
