Elfire (Japanese:エルファイアーElfire) is a recurringfire tome which debuted inFire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light and is present in all games exceptFire Emblem Gaiden, its remakeEchoes: Shadows of Valentia,Fates andThree Houses. It is a spell which summons a pillar of fire around the foe.

Elfire is an advanced version of the basicFire tome, and in games which feature the three separate schools ofanima magic, it is the second "stage" of the hierarchy of fire magic, the counterpart toElthunder andElwind, and is itself surpassed byArcfire andBolganone. In games featuring anima magic or tomes in general only as a generalized weapon level, it is ranked as amedium-level tome.

Elfire is present as a skill on two cards inFire Emblem Cipher:B05-005N Magic Prodigy, Lilina andB08-016HN Endless Thirst for Knowledge, Miriel. It is a manual-activation skill which, for a cost of flipping 1 bond card, gives its user a +20 attack increase until the end of the turn.
