| “ | I just pray that this fighting will end as swiftly as possible. No one desires this war. So why must it continue? | ” | — Eirika toEphraim |

Eirika (pronounced /ˈɛɹɪkə/[key][2]; Japanese:エイリークEirik) is the princess ofRenais, daughter of KingFado and twin sister of Crown PrinceEphraim. Exiled from her kingdom duringGrado's initial onslaught of Renais, she was a leader of the effort to defeat Grado and protect theSacred Stones it sought to destroy.
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Role
Eirika is one of the two main characters of the game. In the beginning of the game, she escapes Renais as it is invaded byGrado, accompanied bySeth. At the time, her twin brother Ephraim has been fighting in Grado and is missing. She gathers many companions on her journey, and after arriving at Frelia and meeting her friendTana, she decides to travel to Grado and find her brother.
After a reunion, the two return to Frelia to plan for their next course of action. At this point, the player can choose either Eirika's route or Ephraim's route, two different possible ways that the story can go. Either way, Eirika goes to Jehanna with Innes with the purpose of warning Jehanna of the war. The two soon reunite, and go to Renais to receive the two sacred weapons. Eirika receives the sacred swordSieglinde. Together, the twins manage to defeat the Demon King,Fomortiis.

Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Eirika is one of the two lords inThe Sacred Stones. She is the main lord for the first eight chapters of the game. Post Chapter 8, the player can choose to follow either Eirika or Ephraim; the chosen sibling becomes the main lord for the rest of the game, while the other leaves the party and joins again in Chapter 15. In her route, she is force deployed for the entire game, while on her brother's, she is only forced deployed for thefinal chapter.
As a unit, Eirika is a mixed bag. She boasts perfect availability if chosen. Further, she is force-deployed on her route, freeing her from competition for a team slot. Her starting weapon, the Rapier, is very strong; it boasts 7 might, which is tripled against knights and cavalry. After Chapter 16, Eirika can also useSieglinde, a 16 Mt sword which grants +5 Strength and has doubled might against monsters. Even if she has not gained a single point of strength in her entire campaign, Great Lord Eirika with Sieglinde has 43 Attack against monsters, which is enough to kill any non-Draco Zombie or non-Cyclops monster in the main story if she doubles.
She has an impressive speed growth, allowing her to double consistently throughout the game; however, her starting speed is only average at 9, so she can fail to double early-game Fighters. Moreover, Eirika is very frail, with poor base HP and defense, and her uninspiring growths in those do not compensate. Fortunately, after promotion, she does gain a mount, even if it only has 7 move. Swords are the weakest weapon type in terms of might, and the only powerful swords she can wield early on which do not weigh her down significantly are her Rapier and theShamshir. Swordlock also means she has poor 1-2 range, rendering her not very effective at taking on enemies on enemy phase. Her mobility is also low before promotion, meaning that she is often unable to reach combat before mounts and promoted foot units. Her Strength is also fairly poor, with a low base and average growth.
Fire Emblem Awakening
Role
Eirika makes several appearances inthe downloadable content ofFire Emblem Awakening. InChampions of Yore 1 and3, she is an enemy, while in thesecond chapter, she appears as an allied NPC unit withLyn andCelica. She returns as an enemy inSmash Brethren 2, where, after completing the chapter, she introduces the player to theBride class, and rewards them with theWedding Bouquet. She reverts to herSpotPass appearance as an enemy inSmash Brethren 3,Rogues & Redeemers 2, andRogues & Redeemers 3.
As with several other legacy characters inAwakening, there is a unique weapon named for Eirika available through theBarracks orevent tiles:Eirika's Blade.

Role
Eirika appears as anEmblem inFire Emblem Engage. She is paired with her brotherEphraim, and the two together are known as the Emblem of the Sacred. They reside in theRing of the Azure Twins. However, Ephraim does not appear in any dialogue, and the pair is mostly represented by Eirika in cases where an NPC appearance is needed, such as on theSomniel.
During battle, the unit synced with the twins can at any time switch which emblem is active with the skillNight and Day, which does not end their action. This changes the skills granted by the Ring of the Azure Twins.
The pair becomes available to the player at the start ofChapter 16, where Eirika is automatically synced withRosado. Eirika is the boss of the paralogueThe Azure Twin.

Fire Emblem Heroes
- Main article:
Eirika/Heroes
There are nine different variations of Eirika available inHeroes. In addition,Lyon: Esteemed Royals features her as aDuo Hero alongsideLyon.
Personality
Eirika is as a kind individual who will go out of her way to help the helpless, even in the face of obvious traps and poor odds.[3] Despite being initially shocked at the brutality of war[4] she quickly acclimates to the reality of combat[5] and steels her resolve to restoreRenais.[6]
During the war she is mindful of her soldiers' contributions and actively thanks those under her for their service, especially acknowledgingForde andKyle's escorting ofEphraim throughGrado territory.[7] The injurySeth sustained while the two fled castle Renais is something she remains concerned about.[8]
In her younger years during her schooling in Grado she, withLyon, frequently assistedEphraim with his studies. This did not prevent the two siblings from being mutually rambunctious and playfully rude to each other,[9][10][11] with evenLyon poking in on occasion.[12] While Eirika is generally polite, this side of her sometimes shows in lower-stakes situations.
In other words, Eirika can actually be quite blunt, getting under other's skin with her statements, seemingly purposefully. When Innes tries to repay Eirika for saving him atCarcino by fighting for her on the frontlines, she plainly points out that he cannot do that as a bowman on the back lines, much to his chagrin.[13] Similarly, Eirika generally does not go along with L'arachel's antics and actively points out L'Arachel's inattentiveness[14] and initially seems to find her annoying.[15] She is also unbothered by Forde implying that her outfit is somewhat revealing, teasing him by pretending to trip, though she does not linger on the jab and comments that their armor sets both serve different purposes, with hers favoring speed.[16]
Most of Eirika's character endings feature her dedicating the rest of her life to the restoration of Renais, a goal she expresses frequently throughoutThe Sacred Stones. Somewhat curiously, it possible for her to leave the kingdom behind if she gets a paired ending withSaleh, where she instead chooses to live a simple life inCaer Pelyn.

As anEmblem, Eirika does not have any support conversations. However, upon reaching bond level 5, 10, and 20 with any character, she has short bond conversations with them instead, which unlock the next bond level. Increasing bond level provides a variety of bonuses, such as raising the stat bonus Eirika provides to synchronized units, inheriting weapon proficiencies, unlocking new sync skills and engage weapons, or extending the duration of each engagement.
Endings
Eirika, Restoration Queen
Eirika returned to Renais and began the reconstruction effort with her brother, Ephraim. Seeing peace return to the lives of her people filled her with happiness. Her smile became a symbol of her people's joy.
Eirika and Ephraim
Busy days awaited Eirika and Ephraim as they struggled to rebuild Renais. Their work gave new hope to those ravaged by the war, and with Eirika's constant help, Ephraim grew to be a trusted and honorable king.
Eirika and Seth
Upon their return to Renais, Eirika and Seth were wed, with the blessings of Ephraim and all of the Knights of Renais. The tale of the love that grew between a princess and her loyal knight became a beloved romance in Renais.
Eirika and Saleh
After the war, Eirika and Saleh returned to their respective homes. Eirika visited Caer Pelyn when she could. Eventually, she left Renais in the care of her brother and wed Saleh. Their daughter resembles the legendary Nada Kuya.
Eirika and Tana
Following the war, Tana and Eirika remained the best of friends. They visited one another when time permitted, and as they grew older, their children shared a bond of friendship as close as Eirika and Tana themselves did.
Innes and Eirika
After the reconstruction of Renais, Innes challenged Ephraim to a duel. The match ended in a tie. After the fight, Eirika acknowledged her love for Innes, and the two were wed with Ephraim's blessings.
Eirika and Forde
After the war, Eirika and Forde returned to Renais. Eirika spent her days toiling in the reconstruction of Renais, and he was her faithful supporter. His portrait of Eirika captured the smile he had thought lost forever.

Trivia
- When promoted as a Great Lord, Eirika'scritical hit animation loses the usual red flash every other unit has (besidesmagic units)
- Eirika's battle animation as a Lord depicts her wielding her sword in her right hand. However, as a Great Lord, it is the opposite; she wields her sword in her left hand.
- Eirika was present in the title screen ofFire Emblem Heroes before being properly added to the game two weeks after launch. A similar thing occurred withIke, who was also present before he was added to the game proper two months after launch.

- ↑"Eirika: Let's move, Seth! We have to save that girl!
Seth: Peace, Your Highness. This is a trap. The whole area is covered in a thick fog. We're virtually blind. There are certain to be enemy soldiers poised to attack.
Eirika: I know, but we must hurry nevertheless. We cannot abandon those people while any hope remains." — Eirika andSeth duringchapter 6,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑"...This is war, isn't it? It's not at all like the games I used to play with my brother or Lyon. I never thought-- I didn't know it would be this...savage. Are words useless? Is strength all that matters?" — Eirika,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- ↑"I'm fine. His axe was slow, and I was quick. Now it's my turn!" — Eirika, fighting an enemy inthe prologue,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- ↑"...Don't worry, Seth. I won't give in to sorrow. Let's get moving. I'm not broken, and I won't stop until I see Renais restored. I won't stop until I'm reunited with my father and brother." — Eirika inthe prologue,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- ↑"Forde: Oh, it was nothing. Really. To be fair, Ephraim probably saved my hide more often than I his.
Eirika: I doubt that. My brother rushes into battle without thought for consequence. I think, if nothing else, you restrained his natural recklessness. I owe you a debt. Both you and Kyle." — Eirika toForde in asupport,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. - ↑"Eirika: Wait. Show it to me. Look. The wound has closed, but it has not yet fully healed.
Seth: ...... What made you think of this, my lady?
Eirika: Your fighting is as superb as ever, Seth. But when you raise your lance, I see a flicker of pain on your face, as if you were merely enduring it... But it only lasts a moment. Perhaps it is all just my imagination..." — Eirika toSeth in asupport,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑"Eirika: Oh, Ephraim... Father MacGregor is going to scold you for neglecting your studies so.
Ephraim: ...Don't even joke about that. So tell us, what have you decided to pray for, Eirika?
Eirika: I, uh... It's a secret.
Ephraim: I should've known. You're so boring." — Eirika,Ephraim, andLyon in a flashback fromA New Journey,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑"Eirika: Tell me, why the sudden decision to visit the temple? Did my brother do something again?
Ephraim: Now listen, you..." — Eirika andEphraim in a flashback fromA New Journey,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑"Eirika: Lyon... You are so honorable. You should learn from him, Brother.
Ephraim: ...Again with your criticism! Tell me, Eirika. What say you to dressing like me and becoming king in my stead? You're so skinny, I doubt anyone would notice you're not really a man.
Lyon: Ha ha ha...
Eirika: Ephraim!" — Eirika,Ephraim, andLyon in a flashback fromA New Journey,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑"Lyon: That's just like you, Ephraim.
Eirika: Just like you indeed, Brother.
Ephraim: ...I can never tell if you're complimenting me or mocking me." — Eirika,Ephraim, andLyon in a flashback fromA New Journey,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑"Well, I can't help you with your image problems, Innes. You're an archer, while I have to fight up close." — Eirika toInnes in asupport,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- ↑"L'Arachel: Good day to you, Princess. What a funny thing that we should meet here! It is providence, I tell you!
Eirika: L'Arachel, it is NOT providence. It is not even a coincidence. We agreed to meet here when we planned out our battle strategy. Wait... Don't tell me that you don't remember that!" — Eirika and L'Arachel in asupport,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑"L'Arachel: Oh, it is no longer any worry. To be honest, I believe I had figured out your ruse from the very moment we met. I said to myself, “This lovely woman could only be of my own superior breeding.” After all, you could never truly fool a woman with my keen mind.
Eirika: My. How...impressive.
L'Arachel: There is something about nobility that simply cannot be hidden from its kin! Why, Eirika, certainly you must have felt the same thing upon seeing me? You surely saw a refinement and grace of carriage surpassing that of common folk?
Eirika: Err... Aheh... Yes, why...the very first time I met you, I could see that you... You were very far from common." — Eirika and L'Arachel in asupport,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑"Forde: You know, too exposed. Especially around the...er...midriff, if you will. Aren't you worried that, in the heat of battle, it might, eh...
Eirika: Fly up like this?
Forde: Augh! Oh... Uh... You were...just joking. Wow. Don't scare me like that!
Eirika: Oh, I'm sorry. That must have seemed rather unladylike. Honestly, though, I do rather like this armor. It's very easy to move around in. I think that freedom of movement is far more important to me in combat.
Forde: Well, sure. I guess everyone has his own preference. I've gotten many long years of use from my armor.
Eirika: I can imagine. Now that I look at it, I can see all the scars from all your fights." — Eirika andForde in asupport,Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones - ↑https://www.behindthename.com/name/Eric
