Duma's Shield

Duma's Shield (Japanese:ドーマの盾Doma's Shield) is ashield that debuted inFire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. It is the second-heaviest shield in the game and gives only a small boost to its user'sdefense stat, but unlike most shields it also gives a boost to its user'sattack stat. It is also the only item in the game that teaches its user thePavise combat art, which halves all physical damage they take until their next turn. It can only be obtained by using an Almamiibo to access theDuma's Ordeals dungeon.

- TheDuma idol seen in theFear Mountain Shrine holds a shield which resembles Duma's Shield. This idol is involved in another encounter with Duma's Apostle that rewards the player withDuma's Lance, which matches the lance that the idol is seen holding.
