Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Deimne's stats are not impressive, but he has two important traits: a mount and theFollow-Up skill. His mount allows him to keep up with the player's most mobile units at all times, while his Follow-Up skill allows him to double enemies. With these two tools, Deimne can always contribute something. Thanks toCanto, he can perform hit-and-run attacks by attacking an enemy on player phase and then using his remaining movement to move away, making room for another unit to attack while leaving the enemy attack ranges. Unfortunately, he lacks 1-range combat, and he does not have access to strong bows like theBrave Bow orKiller Bow for the first two chapters he is available. His highest growth rates are in HP, skill, and defense, giving him solid long-term accuracy and physical durability – however, his resistance base and growth are both terrible, so he can struggle in chapters that feature many enemy magic users, such asChapter 10 andEndgame.

In Chapter 6, Deimne has an event that gives him a sizable +5 Strength. This gives him a huge boost in much-needed damage and ensures he caps Strength somewhat reliably. It is an absolute imperative that he get this event before Chapter 6 is cleared; without it, his damage output, before better bows are obtainable, plummets massively.

As for investment, Deimne needs a better bow than hisIron Bow, so the player should give him a stronger weapon, like the Brave Bow or the Killer Bow – both of which he can use at base level. The Killer Bow packs 100 Hit, theCritical skill and only weighs 3 compared to most bows' 8; this is quite useful for securing hits on dodgy targets, or winning the speed game against enemySnipers. The Brave Bow enables him to attack twice as much; despite Deimne's Speed growth being subpar at 20%, he still consistently quads most generic enemy types outside of Snipers and sword-users, and with his massive Strength, one-round what he quads. However, despite his high damage output, Deimne should never be sent up against bosses, especially non-generic ones. His average of 17 Speed at Lv30 is quite bad when compared to almost any notable boss; even his 14 AS with the Killer Bow will still get him doubled and one-rounded.

Seliph assumed control of Isaach. He set to work forging a good government for this impoverished land, which someday will amass incredible wealth and become one of Jugdral's most central powers. And so, together with Seliph, the people chose to become one with the new Kingdom of Grannvale.
