Darting Blow (Japanese:飛燕の一撃Swallow Strike) is askill which debuted inFire Emblem Fates. InFates, it is a class skill associated with theSky Knight class; inThree Houses it is similarly learned viamastering thePegasus Knight class; inHeroes, it is a four-tiered type A passive skill (whose individiual tiers areDarting Blow 1,Darting Blow 2,Darting Blow 3, andDarting Blow 4 in order from lowest to highest).
InFates, Darting Blow gives a boost to its user'seffective speed whenever its user initiates combat, giving them a better chance of follow-up attacking. In all of its appearances afterwards, the skill instead boosts the user'sspeed directly; inHeroes, the speed increase depends on the skill's tier.
InEngage, it is one of several skills that are exclusively used by some high-level enemies on the game's hardest difficulty mode,Maddening. Darting Blow is mostly exclusive to enemyGriffin Knights, although a group of fiveHalberdiers inThe Dawn Maiden also uses it.
