Darkness Attacks is the thirteenth chapter ofFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes on the Golden Wildfire route.

Plot

Claude explains that bandits have suddenly launched an attack on Ordelia and the neighboring Imperial territory of Hrym and that suspicious figures have been seen accompanying them; Imperial intelligence names these individuals "those who slither in the dark". TheGolden Deer set out to restore order in the region, andShez hopes to discover more about their powers. As the Federation starts to pacify the bandits,Lysithea recounts how the Empire intervened in Ordelia following the Hyrm Rebellion and mysterious mages who Lysithea realizes were those who slither in the dark came to Ordelia. Eventually, the Federation is able to wipe out the bandits and defeat their leaders, includingSolon, the man who impersonatedTomas atGarreg Mach Monastery. However, Solon escapes before they can question him. Lysithea recounts how those who slither in the dark performed inhuman blood experiments on her, shortening her lifespan. An Imperial envoy arrives and informs them thatEdelgard is requesting reinforcements for an imminent invasion of Garreg Mach by the Kingdom and the Church.
