TheDark affinity (Japanese:闇Darkness) is one of severalaffinities present in theFire Emblem series. In the GBA titles, Dark grants a bonus toHit,Avoid,Critical rate, andDodge. In the Tellius games, it grants a bonus toAttack andAvoid.
The Dark affinity is present inThe Binding Blade,The Blazing Blade,The Sacred Stones,Path of Radiance, andRadiant Dawn.

- In both the Japanese and international setups, only one combination allowsMark access to this affinity: a birth month of August in both regions, additionally with a B blood type in the Japanese setup.
- According toFire Emblem: Path of Radiance Memorial Book Tellius Recollection: The First Volume,Rajaion's affinity is dark. Rajaion's affinity was previously unknown, as he has no data as aunit in anyFire Emblem series game.
- InPath of Radiance andRadiant Dawn, allBranded characters that appear in gameplay have the dark affinity, except forStefan (who instead has theheaven affinity) andPetrine (who has thethunder affinity).
