Dagdar continued to accompany Leif until his capture at Fort Kelbeth; Dagdar then retreated to Mount Violdrake to muster his men for a direct assault on Munster. Back in his mansion, however, Dagdar's bandits mutinied, led by his former minionGomez, and Dagdar and Tanya were attacked by his former band; they were saved by Leif and rejoined his army.

Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Much likeEyvel, Dagdar is available very early inThracia 776, starts promoted, and has outstanding base stats for the first few chapters. He is very durable with 43 base HP, the second highest in the game, and a solid 10 base defense, as well as enough speed to avoid being doubled. His offenses are just as potent, with an excellent base 14 attack (also the second highest in the game), solid base speed and skill, and an immense 15 constitution. He also has an A-rank in Axes, allowing him to use every axe in the game, most notably being theBrave Axe and theMaster Axe. He can also use E-rank bows which, while not strong themselves, give Dagdar a good ranged option for attacking, which is valuable due to how poorHand Axes are inThracia 776.
Dagdar also has the skillAccost, which allows him to initiate another round of combat if his HP andattack speed are higher than his opponent's. Since enemies inThracia 776 are very slow and his HP is so high, he can trigger Accost reliably, allowing him to one-round most enemies throughout the game. However, Accost is a double-edged sword, as it will activate when he is attacked on enemy phase, even if Dagdar cannot counterattack. This is not too problematic early on as he takes very little damage from most enemies, but as the game goes on and enemies deal more damage Dagdar will be worn down quickly when facing multiple enemies on during enemy phase, especially when magic users are involved. Dark Mages and high-rank tome users are especially dangerous for Dagdar, and they can even one-round him on occasion if he cannot kill them on his counterattack.
Due to Dagdar's high constitution and combat prowess, he is one of the best units for capturing enemies, since he can reliably attack them multiple times and has sufficient constitution to bear the weight. He is a great wielder of theBrave Axe for this reason as it pairs well with his high strength.
Dagdar is useful throughout the game, although his usefulness does deteriorate later on since other characters catch up to his stats. Furthermore, Dagdars growth rates are abysmal, with only his luck and HP growths being above 10%. His speed in particular can be problematic at times, but most enemies inThracia tend to have poor to mediocre speed until near the end of the game. His hit rate are also not impressive, which while not a problem against generic enemies can make it very difficult for him to hit bosses on thrones. Dagdar can make use of theCrusader Scrolls like the Ced scroll to help his stats, as the bonuses are additive in nature.
Role
Dagdar is playable as aSpotPass character, released in theThracia 776 character set. He is also present as an enemy in thefirst andthird installments of theLost BloodlinesDLC series.

Personality
Despite his status as a bandit boss, Dagdar is a kind-hearted man;August theorises that he and many of his men were the victims of circumstance of being born in the impoverished nation that is Thracia, and that he was abandoned by his parents as a child and forced to grow up as a bandit.[2] By default he is more inclined to peace and talking problems through, but will gladly take violent exception to being abused by his inferiors.[3] He possesses an immense mutual respect for and confidence inEyvel, considering her to be far superior to him as a warrior.[4]
