Close Defense (Japanese:近距離防御Close-Range Defense) is a four-tiered passive type Askill which debuted inFire Emblem Heroes; the individual tiers of the skill areClose Def 1,Close Def 2,Close Def 3, andClose Def 4 in order from lowest to highest. Close Defense increases the user'sdefense andresistance when attacked by an opponent wielding asword,lance,axe,breath, orbeast weapon; the size of the boosts increases with the skill's tier.
