Close Counter (Japanese:近距離反撃Short-range Counterattack) is a passive type Askill which debuted inFire Emblem Heroes; Close Counter comes in only one tier. Units with Close Counter are able to launch a counterattack regardless of therange between the user and its target.
Close Counter returns as an ability inFire Emblem: Three Houses, where it is obtained by raising a unit's skill level in bows. In this game, it simply allows bow-wielding units to counterattack adjacent opponents.

Trivia
- Takumi having the skill is a reference to his appearances in theConquest route ofFire Emblem Fates, in which he has thePoint Blank skill which allows him to attack and counterattack at 1 range. UnlikeFates however, he cannot initiate combat at 1 range inHeroes.
