Charm (Japanese:チャームの杖Charm Staff) is astaff that has never made an official appearance in any game in theFire Emblem series—it is present in the code ofFire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War in an unfinished state, and isunused. The Charm staff has incomplete programming, its unique availability routine allows the staff to be selected if any allies are within range, but the remaining code is a copy ofRestore. As a result, selecting the staff without any target in range having a status effect will freeze the game. What it was actually intended to do is unknown.
