Carlyle (Japanese:カーライルCarlyle) is a character inFire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and theboss ofChapter 14 inEirika's route. He is QueenIsmaire's right hand man, as well as her admirer. His love for the queen leads him to betray hiscountry in an effort to win her love in return.

Role
Carlyle only makes an in-person appearance inEirika's route, though he is indirectly referenced byCaellach inEphraim's route.[1]
Despite his twenty years of loyal service, Carlyle betraysJehanna toGrado to haveIsmaire to himself. Carlyle stands againstEirika's forces inJehanna Hall during the events ofChapter 14. Unbeknownst to him, Caellach has already killed Ismaire due to her lack of cooperation, Carlyle is killed by Eirika's forces.
