Candace is a minor boss appearing inParalogue 6. During the events of the paralogue, Midori is in search of Dragon Herbs for her fatherKaze, Candace appears and steals the herbs. Midori rushes off to recover her herbs and Kaze and the rest of the player's army follows to help Midori.

Candace is either defeated or captured by the player by the end of the paralogue.

Analysis

Candace is a prepromotedAdventurer, first being playable after she is persuaded in the prison ofMy Castle after she is captured inParalogue 6. Her level, stat lineup, and weapon ranks vary depending on when the paralogue is attempted. Her growths are all awful, with the only decent ones being HP, speed, luck, and resistance.

Unlike any other bonus capturable bosses, she has no extra skills that are not in her class line. However, to make this problem worse, she is not able to reclass due to the game developers never making other models for her in other classes, resulting in not being able to reclass toBow Knight more specifically. The only skills she can get areLocktouch,Movement +1,Lucky 7, andPass. All four skills are incredibly useful, but her potential is severely hurt by all the problems she faces. This results in her only utility being a chipper with bows, and a staff bot. However, if the player truly wants her to shine, they can give her stat boosters andArms Scrolls to make her the best she can.

Here’s Candace, the legendary treasure hunter from Nohr! She’s on an endless search for rare treasures wherever her nimble legs can carry her!	Candace’s quest took her across the world. One day, she set her sights on the precious Dragon Herbs that Midori had foraged and, with a little cunning, managed to steal them.	However, Midori wouldn’t give up the pursuit, and eventually, she caught up with Candace. But in an odd twist of fate, that was Candace’s opportunity to get recruited into Corrin’s army, of which Midori happened to be a member.	Of course, getting caught once isn’t enough to make Candace shy away from the hunt for treasure. There’s unknown wonders out there, and Candace is going to make them hers!

• Presumably due to the development team neglecting to make more models with her body type, Candace is incapable of reclassing and wearing the Bath Towel accessory. If she is hacked^[3] into other classes, Candace reuses her Adventurer model for them.
• Candace possesses a critical cut-in portrait, a trait shared withNichol, and lacked bybosses that could be considered much more significant, likeIago andHans. Additionally, her name is located among the names of characters that can exclusively marryCorrin^[4] suggesting she had a more significant role before becoming aparalogue boss. Candace and Nichol are also the only capturable bosses to be featured in the firstChoose Your Legends event, with the others only being added in CYL 5.
