Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
12 Speed doubles most enemies on the map, while 14 doubles the fastest enemies. 39 physical attack one-shots enemy Sword Cavaliers, which Alfred can reach at base and Chloé with a Strength Tonic, both using Emblem Sigurd's Ridersbane. 34 physical attack one-shots the enemy Lance Flier; Etie can reach this at base with a Steel Bow or Iron Bow+1, and depending on what Bond Ring she has equipped may be able to use a basic Iron Bow and make up the difference with support skills. 23 physical attack two-shots Axe Fighters, 22 two-shots Barbarians, 17 two-shots Archers, and 15 two-shots Mages. 21 magical attack two-shots Cavaliers, 20 two-shots Axe Fighters and Barbarians, and 16 two-shots Archers.
On turn 1, immediately send whoever has Emblem Celica to the east to delete the Archer near the southeast house with Warp Ragnarok, then have Chloé double kill the adjacent Sword Cavalier and Mage with Emblem Sigurd's Override. Alear should have no trouble dispatching the two Axe Fighters on enemy phase. Finally, have someone who can take a Barbarian attack collect the Defense Tonic from the southwest house. Jean and Sean can keep the NPC Villagers alive for a little while, but they are in danger of being overrun if you dally too long. Fortunately, the central Archer will be enticed to pursue Chloé rather than join the assault on the Villagers. On turn 2, finish off the nearby enemies and move to reinforce the NPCs. If you can kill at least one of the enemies attacking them on turn 3, that should take the pressure off. After that, the battle becomes a straightforward rout. Note that you can have your units surround and box in the Archer boss and render it utterly helpless. All in all, an easy map.
For your efforts, you recruit Jean. He's a standard "villager with horrible bases but boosted growths", but he stands out for being able to heal even if he has trouble in combat and for his skill doubling class growths instead of offering a flat boost. He makes great use of lopsided classes like Warrior.
