Brendan Reed (Japanese:ブレンダン・リーダスBrendan Reedus) is the founder and initial leader of theBlack Fang, aBern-based mercenary and assassin guild.

Role

Roughly nine years prior to the game's events, Brendan founded theBlack Fang, a group of assassins that targeted nobles who abused their positions. One member—Pascal—Brendan had imprisoned due to his behavior. Around the time ofLyn's tale, Brendan met and married his second wife,Sonia, and brought Sonia's adopted daughterNino into the family.

Brendan is first mentioned inChapter 16 (17H) where some of his backstory is first provided byLeila, anOstian spy who has infiltrated the Black Fang.The chapter after that, Nergal asks Sonia have Brendan mobilize the Black Fang into another operation.

Brendan is first physically seen inChapter 21E (22H), where he reluctantly agrees with the plans Sonia assigns to theFour Fangs. He is later seen in Chapter 25E (27H) (bothKenneth's andJerme's versions) disagreeing with Sonia over plans to send Nino on a Black Fang mission. His final appearance while alive comes inChapter 26xE (28xH), where he is killed by Sonia and hisquintessence is harvested byLimstella.

Brendan is remanifested as amorph byNergal in thefirst part of the Final Chapter; he is one of many people incarnated as morphs that Eliwood's army defeat to reach Nergal.

Despite being fought only as a morph, Brendan hasunused unit data for being alive.
