Bramimond (Japanese:ブラミモンドBramimonde) was one of theEight Legends ofElibe who fought in theScouring. In the aftermath of the Scouring and the Ending Winter, Bramimond placed a magical seal on the Legendary Weapons, as they were too dangerous for any human to wield.^[2] It was a master ofDark Magic and wielded the tomeApocalypse. As such, Bramimond no longer has any "self".^[3]Hector also notices this, and is baffled by the fact that its voice keeps changing.

Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade

Bramimond is not seen in-game (having died following the events ofFire Emblem: The Blazing Blade), but he is part of the backstory, being one of theEight Legends who fought on the side ofmen during theScouring. After Chapter 21x:The Elder Revelation, the party obtains hisLegendary Weapon,Apocalypse.

Role

After the events of Chapter 27:Cog of Destiny, Athos bringsEliwood,Hector, andLyn to Bramimond in order to convince it to undo the seal on the Legendary Weapons so that they can vanquishNergal. Bramimond initially refuses, but it sees Eliwood's similarity to his friendRoland, it agrees to release the seal. Bramimond returns to sleep and is not seen again until after Nergal's defeat, when it resurrectsNinian to help defeat theFire Dragon that has come through theDragon's Gate. After the battle, Bramimond tells a dying Athos that it will most likely follow him soon. It is not given an ending, not having been a playable character.

Fire Emblem Heroes

Bramimond is the game's tenth Mythic Hero, and as such was added to the game in a dedicated Mythic Hero update, and was made available for summoning as part of a summoning event released on March 31, 2020. Only one variation of Bramimond is currently available inHeroes, based on itsThe Blazing Blade incarnation. Bramimond is notably the first character inHeroes to wieldcolorless tomes, a weapon type fully introduced in its dedicated Mythic Hero update (although its icon first appeared in the earlierTwisted Reality update in an unused state at that time).

Bramimond has four different voice actors credited, the most for a single character or variation, due to its voice constantly changing to reflect who it speaks to, as inThe Blazing Blade. The voices it switches between are those ofAlfonse,Eliwood,Hector, andLyn.

Bramimond had previously been mentioned much earlier in the game's life, inPart 1 of Paralogue 3 byBruno, who has traveled to theWorld of Blazing in search of information on a dark god whose blood runs in the veins of theEmblian royal family.^[4] Bruno comes into possession of a tome owned by Bramimond, and finds therein a passage discussing the dark god, but the text trails off without disclosing the god's true name. Frustrated by this setback, he remarks that certain people in the World of Blazing may have witnessed the events in Embla through the medium of theDragon's Gate on the isle ofValor.

Personality

Bramimond was born a normal human, but as he delved deeper into the secrets of dark magic, he eventually gave up his own self to master darkness. Bramimond (now better referred to as an "it") then used its newfound power to fight with the other seven Generals against thedragons during the Scouring. After the war, Bramimond was the only one of the Generals who did not leave on a legacy. Instead, it slept underground in theShrine of Seals, where it could protect the seal that kept theLegendary Weapons sealed away from human hands. After assisting the party with defeatingNergal and theFire Dragon, Bramimond tells a dying Athos that it will most likely follow him soon.
