Bowgun
| ||||
|
TheBowgun (Japanese:ボウガンBowgun) is a rarebow which was introduced inFire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light and has only appeared in one game since,Radiant Dawn. It originated as a basic bow whose main selling points were its increasedcritical rate, highhit rate, and its lowweapon level, ensuring that all playable bow users could wield it immediately. It did not appear in any of the game's direct sequels or remakes.
In its second appearance, seventeen years later, the Bowgun was reclassified as acrossbow, and is the weakest of the crossbow series of weapons. Unlike conventional bows, the Bowgun and other crossbows can attack adjacent and distant enemies alike, but in exchange its damage calculation completely ignores the user'sstrength stat and is based only on its ownmight, giving it a fixed, mostly consistent damage output no matter who uses it.
