TheBandit (Japanese:バンデットBandit) is abase infantryclass introduced inFire Emblem: Path of Radiance, appearing exclusively in it andRadiant Dawn. They are anaxe-wielding,enemy-only class, and act as a replacement for other enemy-only axe classes from earlierFire Emblem series games such as theBarbarian,Brigand andPirate. Like these classes, they have an easier time crossing certain roughterrain: they are the only non-flying class able to cross bodies of water, while inRadiant Dawn they also have an easier time crossing desert sands than most infantry classes.

Bandits have similar stats to the earlier enemy-only axe classes, with very highstrength andHP, as well as decentspeed. However, not only do they suffer from the traditional poorskill stat of axe-wielding classes, which along with the lowaccuracy of axes gives them poorhit rates, but they are also affected by poordefense andresistance, with their high HP failing to do much to mitigate this. This makes them risky to fight carelessly but relatively easy to quickly damage and defeat.

InPath of Radiance Bandits are able topromote to theBerserker class, although since there are no playable Bandits the player cannot do this without hacking the game.[1] InRadiant Dawn, they have no known promotion options, since the Berserker is not present in the game at all.
