It will work out. Reinforcements will be arriving soon. Once they're here, I want you to end this farce at once!
— Balmer

Balmer(Japanese:バルマBaruma) is the boss ofChapter 7 ofFire Emblem: Path of Radiance. He is in charge of the battalion ofDaein soldiers that fights theGreil Mercenaries in Fort Meritenne. He, like other Daein generals, is confident in his abilities as a fighter, particularly with respect to his talent for magic. When his soldiers begin to fall in battle, he remarks at how embarrassing they can be, but remains calm nonetheless.

Petrine put him in charge of the soldiers combating withIke and company while she engaged in a duel withGreil. He was to make sure that none of the Crimean vermin escaped alive, and apparently was expecting reinforcements.
