Axebreaker
| ||||
|
Axebreaker (Japanese:斧殺しAxe Slayer) is askill which debuted inFire Emblem Awakening. It gives its user enormous advantages when fighting an enemy who is wielding anaxe orclub. InAwakening andFates, it is a class skill learned byHeroes; inThree Houses, it is an ability learned by units when they raise theirskill level insword. In these games, it provides boosts to its user'shit rate andavoid when fighting these weapons.
InHeroes, it is a type B passive skill split into three levels, in order from lowest to highest:Axebreaker 1,Axebreaker 2, andAxebreaker 3. Units with an Axebreaker skill will, when fighting the user of an axe skill while this skill's user's own HP is at a certain threshold or higher, automatically make a follow-up attack and prevent the axe skill's user from doing so themselves. The minimum amount of current HP required to activate the skill decreases with each level.
InFire Emblem Engage, the skill retains its effect fromHeroes, though it does not have multiple versions and activates by remaining above half health. In this game, it is one of several skills that are exclusively used by some high-level enemies on the game's hardest difficulty mode,Maddening. Axebreaker and all other "breaker" skills are exclusive to enemyPaladins.
