TheAxe General (Japanese:斧武将グレートドゥクスGreat Dux) is a class only found inFire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, which usesaxes as well asswords. They can promote to theMarshall class, and theoretically a member of theArmor Axe class would become an axe general; however, there are no playable armor axes. Comparable classes are theSword General andLance General classes.

Axe generals have quite high stats, since they act as promoted classes. They have highstrength anddefense with goodresistance, but as most axe-using classes do, they lack inskill. Also, they have below-averagespeed. These weaknesses do not prevent them from succeeding as sturdy front-line units in an army, and they appear often as enemies. The only playable axe general isBrom.
