There are three different variations of Askr available toHeroes. The normal variation of Askr first became playable as the game's twenty-seventh Mythic Hero, and was added to the game in a dedicated Mythic Hero update, made available for summoning as part of a summoning event released on July 26, 2022. A New Year's-themed variation of Askr was made available between the period of January 1, 2023 through February 1, 2023 as part of the summoning event surrounding theGods Renewed update; this variation is a Duo Hero, teamed up withEmbla. A Halloween variation of Askr was added on October 4, 2024, and was first available to summon from then to November 5, 2024.

I can't believe who I have the privilege of introducing to you today! Say hello to Askr, the god who created the very kingdom we live in!	Far from being an imposing, intimidating deity, Askr is the epitome of friendliness and good cheer. In fact, he created Askr to bring about a world where everyone could form connections and become friends.	Our kingdom of Askr is known by some as "the opened kingdom," and that goes back to Askr's desire to welcome people without exception, connect with one another, and foster close bonds!	My understanding is that Askr even wants to be friends with Embla, another god who wishes only to see his downfall. Well, his dreams of friendship are ours as well!

Askr: Renewed Gods
Askr and Embla are the Divine Dragons who created the realms that share their names. They may have had their differences in the past, but now they've come to join us in celebrating the New Year—and while wearing absolutely divine outfits!	They've also brought some New Year's accessories. Askr's got a kadomatsu, a special New Year decoration usually set in front of gates or entrances. Meanwhile, Embla's carrying a bangasa, a colorful paper umbrella!	You know, the hakama pants that Askr's wearing actually have a hole for his tail! And you might not notice because of the haori coat she's wearing, but Embla's traditional obi is tied into a beautiful knot at the back!	Askr, the god of connections and strong bonds, and Embla, the god of barriers and broken bonds. They may be opposites in all regards, but they've known each other for so long, it'd be a shame for them to not celebrate the New Year together!

Th-that divine presence! It could only be… Yes, it’s Askr, the god who created our very own kingdom of Askr and gave it his name, and he’s here for the harvest festival!	It looks like he’s trying his best to fit in with the other festivalgoers in that special costume! Those wing decorations on his back and the candies on his cloak really show off his playful side, don’t they?	Oh, and I see he’s carrying his usual weapon for this appearance—but now the cowbell part is stuffed full with candy!	Askr’s position as a god has kept him from taking part in the harvest festival until now, and he just can’t wait to get to trick-or-treating. And I couldn’t be more honored to have him!
