TheArch Knight (Japanese:アーチナイトArch Knight) class is a class ofbow-using horseback riders exclusive toFire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War andFire Emblem: Thracia 776. It is similar to theNomad class ofFire Emblem: The Binding Blade andThe Blazing Blade and theBow Knight class ofFire Emblem: Path of Radiance andFire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. In its own games, the Arch Knight class appears along with theFree Knight (which uses swords),Lance Knight, andAxe Knight classes.

Arch knights are to attack from long range while easily able to move around. Additionally, if on horseback, they can move again after attacking if they have not moved their full amount of spaces. InThracia 776, they can dismount from their horses for several purposes, such as entering buildings and negating certain weapons' effectiveness against them. They have very balanced stats, except for low resistance, which makes them vulnerable to magic attacks.

Arch knights promote to theBow Knight class in both games.
