Slave trader

The slave trader is a minor NPC in the originalFire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light andMystery of the Emblem, both times appearing in theKnorda Market chapter. The slaver worked in the markets of Knorda at the edge of town and claimed to sell a variety of slaves. By the time of the map's beginning, the slaver only had a bunch of kidnapped young boys left to sell.

WhenMarth arrived to the slaver's dwelling, the trafficker attempted to sell Marth some children, but when Marth made his opposition on slavery clear and upon realizing that Marth was the leader of the Archanean League, the slaver fled the scene.

Marth subsequently released all the young boys only to find out that one of them, was in-fact, a teenage girl in disguise. The teenage girl subsequently revealed herself asLinde, the daughter of the legendary pontifex,Miloah. Linde had disguised herself as a young boy, but had been captured by the slaver until Marth freed her.

InFire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, the slaver and the whole slavery market plot line is removed, instead it is replaced by a ruffian (who uses the same portrait as the above Ruffian) capturing Archanean citizens for unknown reasons.

InShadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, the slaver is an edit of the portrait used by Manakete bosses, whilst inMystery of the Emblem the Slaver has a unique portrait that resembles an old woman.

Legault was soon ordered to kill her, in accordances with the law of the Fang.[6] Legault followed through on this order, despite having strong misgivings, and later deserted the group due to this.

He also mentions that due to his age, he is unable to detect evil forces likeSophia can. Afterwards, when Fae wants to go with Roy and Igrene, the elder doesn't let her, as he didn't want the world to know about her existence. Regardless, Fae still decided to follow them in secret.

He later states that he will continue to get Idunn's heart and soul restored, with the first step being to have her show emotion.

Zero Emblem

TheZero Emblem (Japanese:零番目の紋章士Zeroth emblem person), also known as theEmblem of Foundations (Japanese:礎の紋章士Emblem person of foundations), is anEmblem originating fromSombron's home world. When Sombron was exiled to Elyos after his family was slaughtered, he took the Zero Emblem's ring with him. However, Sombron could not summon them in a form that allowed speech, much like theDark Emblems. After Sombron befriended some local villagers, the Zero Emblem's power faded altogether, only leaving behind their ring. Sombron's desire to gather Elyos' twelve Emblems lies in the belief that their combined power, allowing him to travel to other worlds, would lead him to a world where he can be reunited with the Zero Emblem.

It is said that the Zero Emblem fought alone in life, having no allies despite their ambitions, which offered comfort to Sombron, who was alone in a new world. As the Zero Emblem could not speak under Sombron's power, the reason for their disappearance ultimately remains unknown.[25]

Fire Emblem Heroes

Hvergel

Hvergel was the first queen ofNifl, the Kingdom of Ice. She pleaded for aid from the Ice DragonNifl, who granted her power via her blood to the first queen to save her people. During this time, the two became very close, Hvergel having made Nifl loving towards mortals.[26]Múspell, the Flame Dragon and Nifl's enemy, chose to curse Hvergel with his flame because of their closeness, entering her in a suffering heat until she was mercy killed by Nifl.[27] Fearing that her presence would bring harm to Hvergel's descendants, she became closed off once more, dueling with the Flame Dragon in a battle that reduced the both of them to their realms.

Líf

Líf (Japanese:リーヴLíf) was the founder and first king ofAskr.[28] During his time, he formed a pact with the Divine DragonAskr, granting his bloodline the ability to open gateways to other worlds.[29] He was also involved in theAether Keep, a flying castle used by ancient Askrans to battle against the Aether Keeps in other realms, aiming to attain power over the heavens.[30] While he initially acted serious and kept his distance from others, he began to open up as he grew closer to Askr, eventually forming a friendship with him.[31] Líf's name would be used byhis descendant, theAlfonse of another world, after the death of his world and his subsequent servitude underHel.

Menja

Menja (Japanese:メニヤMenja) wasHelbindi's younger sister.Surtr used her as a bargaining chip for Helbindi's loyalty. Surtr eventually found Helbindi's performance againstAskr andNifl unsatisfactory and burned her and the rest of Helbindi's home to the ground.

Thrasir

Thrasir (Japanese:スラシルThrasir) was the first emperor ofEmbla. She was a powerful witch who was said to be able to destroy a realm by herself,[32] and is described byAskr as wise, strong, and kind.[33] During her time, she formed a pact with the Divine DragonEmbla, granting her bloodline the ability to close gateways to other worlds.[34] Thrasir's name would be used byher descendant, theVeronica of another world, after the death of her world and her subsequent servitude underHel.

Veðrfölnir

Veðrfölnir (Japanese:ヴェズルフェルニルVeðrfölnir) was the first jötun, who granted her power to the people within the realm of jötun. Her people, later foundingJötunheimr, became giants with superhuman strength and waged war against one another. Disapproving of their recklessness, Veðrfölnir took the form of a shining bird and hid within a forest, eventually being forgotten as the war betweenJötunheimr andNiðavellir left the land she rested on ceded to the Dvergar.[35]

WhenÞjazi seeks her out once more for power to crush Niðavellir, Veðrfölnir grants her power toDagr, forming a pact that she would burn to ashes if using her power unjustly.[36] Her bird form appearing over Dagr's shoulder, her consciousness was put to rest.

Sombron: Beyond this portal lie infinite worlds. One of them was my home. It had its own Emblem Rings, and a war arose to control them. My kind lost. The enemy used the rings' power to slaughter my relatives. All of them. I was very young... Our enemies granted me alone the mercy of exile.
Marth: You mean...they sent you to Elyos.
Sombron: A peaceful world, ruled by godlike dragons. I was meant to live a quiet life there. But I brought something with me, unknown to them. A single Emblem Ring.
    Alear: Zero Emblem.
Sombron: In my world, known as the Emblem of Foundations. With my power, unable to speak. Legend said this Emblem fought without aid. So much ambition, and no allies. That story showed me the way forward in my complete isolation. I was trapped in this world without friends or family. Only that Emblem gave me comfort.
    [...]
Sombron: Exactly─and all because of villagers that found me a few years after I arrived. They mistook me for an abandoned child. They pitied me─my first connection in your world. Soon after, the Emblem deserted me, leaving only the ring behind. And why? For bonding with the people of this world. I despaired, and then... I reduced their village to ash.
    Alear: ...
Sombron: I swore to forgo all bonds in pursuit of my ambitions, as my Emblem had. I fought alone, confided in none, preparing to return to my world. To exact revenge. I needed pawns for my plan─and territory. I spent years amassing it all. Then, I attacked.
    [...]
Alear: A solitary warrior like that Emblem would know how hard it is to be alone. And...would stay by your side, sparing you that loneliness in exile. Until you weren't alone, and had new people in your life. Until you were OK. Don't you think, more than anyone, a true friend like that wanted you to have those connections?
Sombron: You know nothing─nothing at all about my Emblem.
