| English | Anima | Latin for "animating principle", often interpreted as "spirit" or "soul".[1] Note that affinity names were hidden in the localized versions of the GBA games; in the English version ofThe Blazing Blade, however, the Anima affinity has a string leftover from the Japanese version which labels it as "Nature" (the same name that said game uses for anima magic in item descriptions). |
| Japanese | 理 | Inner Essence. The meaning is difficult to translate into a single concise word and, among other things can be described as, reason, logic, or "the natural order of things".[2] Possibly invoking the Chineseli it is a philosophical concept relating to the "rational principle" of nature. This meaning appears to be reflected in the fact that many characters possessing this affinity trend towards more logical or "rule-following" personalities. |
| Spanish | Ánima | Anima |

| German | Anima | Anima. CalledNatur "Nature" inThe Blazing Blade. |
