Ancient Dragon Wrath (Japanese:古竜の逆鱗Ancient dragon wrath) is an enemy-exclusiveability which debuted inFire Emblem: Three Houses. It is held only bythe Immaculate One as it appears in the Crimson Flower route. The ability causes attacks done by the user to deal damage based on the lower of the target's defenses.

Literally speaking,逆鱗gekirin translates as "reverse scale", and originates from an element of Chinese mythology which holds that every dragon has a single scale which grows in the opposite direction from their other scales, and touching thisgekirin will infuriate the dragon. This is commonly used as an idiom,逆鱗に触れる (literally, "touch the reverse scale"), which refers to provoking the anger of one's superior, and as a result逆鱗gekirin is also taken to mean "imperial anger" or "the anger of one's superior". |
