Algol (Japanese:アルゴルAlgol) is aPlegian troop captain, aGrimleal priest, and the boss ofChapter 21 ofFire Emblem Awakening. An alternateOutrealm version of Algol also appears as a boss of theDLC chapterDeath's Embrace.

InChapter 21, Algol leads a band tasked with blocking the escape routeChrom and theShepherds were using to escape from Plegia Castle after negotiations between Chrom andValidar quickly broke down. Algol eventually falls to the Shepherds.

During the downloadable content scenarioDeath's Embrace anoutrealm version of Algol is the leader of an evil cult and commander of a band ofRisen. He is responsible for raiding village, sacrificing the strongest to create risen and killing the rest. This version of Algol is also felled by Chrom and the Shepherds; if Algol was felled quickly enough,Robin will recover anEinherjar card ofEst from the temple.
