Biography

Acheron is a minor noble of theLeicester Alliance, infamous for his political opportunism. In 1180, during the paralogueLand of the Golden Deer, he attempts an uprising near House Gloucester territory which is foiled byLorenz andByleth's allies.

What side Acheron takes afterEdelgard declares war on theChurch of Seiros depends on the route. On the Crimson Flower route, he sides withLeicester and shows up alongside a non-recruitedLeonie/an Alliance General as reinforcements forJudith at the Great Bridge of Myrddin; if Leonie/the Alliance General die first however, Acheron abandons the battle along with his reinforcements, leaving Judith to die. On all other routes, Acheron sides withAdrestia and pulls a pincer attack on Byleth and their allies when they attempt to cross the Great Bridge of Myrddin, only to be quickly killed in battle.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

Personality

Acheron is a pompous and self-centered individual who only cares for his own interests, willing to either protect or betray his homeland depending on the circumstances, hence his in-universe nickname "The Weathervane". Despite oozing an aura of smugness however, he's not afraid to humiliate himself and beg for his life if it is at stake.

Quotes

Battle quotes

Who are you? I'd appreciate it if you could just not get in my way!
— Acheron as an enemy inLand of the Golden Deer
Claude: I did hear some good-for-nothing inherited this territory. I guess that's you then.
Acheron: Who do you think you are? I'm not a good-for-nothing! You are!
Claude: If you were actually good for anything at all, I'd at least expect you to recognize who I am...

— Acheron fightingClaude inLand of the Golden Deer
Lorenz: Give it up, Acheron! We are in the right. If you try to remain here any longer...
Acheron: What, you'll kill me? A tiny kid like you kill someone like me? Oh, that's too funny.
Lorenz: An animal like you cannot be allowed to run amok. We will settle this here and now!
Acheron: If you think you're up to the task, then by all means. But it's not my fault if it ends badly for you.

— Acheron fightingLorenz inLand of the Golden Deer
As they say, if you can't beat them, join them. I'm not in for a beating, am I?
— Acheron as an enemy inSilver Snow/Azure Moon/Verdant Wind Chapter 16.
Acheron: The decliningAlliance will be finished if I kill you. TheEmpire will herald the new age!
Claude: Only if you manage to kill me. Hm? What's that on the north? Looks like the home of an opportunistic noble is burning...
Acheron: That's...that's my castle! NO!
Claude: That's the declining Alliance at work, right there. Seems like you were facing the wrong way, Weathervane!

— Acheron fightingClaude inVerdant Wind Chapter 16
The lands on the other side of this bridge are mine. I can't just let you cross!
— Acheron as an enemy inCrimson Flower Chapter 13.
Lorenz: Acheron! What a pleasant surprise! I was concerned I might have to kill someone decent.
Acheron: Ha! House Gloucester is already finished. I've already taken control of your land!
Lorenz: That's quite enough of your spinning, Weathervane. Time for you to die.

— Acheron fighting Lorenz inCrimson Flower Chapter 13.
