A Gift from Anna (Japanese:アンナの贈り物Anna's Gift) is adownloadable content xenologue chapter inFire Emblem Fates. A Gift from Anna is part of the second series of Japanese DLC releases and the first series of international DLC releases.
This chapter was first made available on October 1, 2015 in Japan; April 14, 2016 in North America; July 7 in Europe; and July 8 in Australia.
This chapter does not contain any maps or battles; instead it is comprised of a single cutscene where the player is given a selection of one of two items to receive; in the case, theWitch's Mark or theSighting Lens, both of which arereclassing items that are otherwise exclusive to the DLC chaptersWitches' Trial andBallistician Blitz respectively. This chapter can only be played once; if attempted to be played a second time, a prompt will state the player has already received the item and go straight to the save screen.

A Gift from Anna/Script
Anna welcomes the player into her shop and thanks them for stopping by; she then states she has a special item for them that day, and she's giving it away for free—and the player gets to pick which one they want. Anna first offers aWitch's Mark from theWitches' Trial chapter, then offers aSighting Lens from theBallistician Blitz chapter. Anna then asks the player which one they want. The player makes their selection at this point.
Regardless of which choice the player made, Anna states the player made a good choice, and they have taste; she then tells the player that if they ever want more, they go over to the corresponding chapter and complete it. Anna bids the player farewell and states she looks forward to their continued business (after first stating "money").

Note: The returning characters list represents the minimum characterbase recruitable by the point the player can first access the Dragon's Gate. Felicia is only a returning character if Corrin is male, while Jakob is only a returning character if Corrin is female. If more chapters along the chosen main story path are cleared, or if anyparalogues are cleared, the player can have access to characters not listed here by the point the chapter is first started. Asbonus units are recruitable at the player's discretion, the returning characters list does not list them either.

Trivia
- Despite being presented as a full chapter, A Gift from Anna lacks any maps or battles, playing more like an interlude (such asA New Journey fromThe Sacred Stones). While there have been battle-free full chapters in the past (such asChapter 29x (31x Hector) ofThe Blazing Blade), this is the first example of a full chapter in theFire Emblem series that lacks a map (assumingpre-split Chapter 6 is counted together with each of the post-split Chapter 6s). These traits are shared with the second such chapter,Another Gift from Anna.
