Roy (pronounced /ɹɔɪ/[key]; Japanese:ロイRoy) is the son of MarquessEliwood ofLycia's HousePherae. In theDisturbance of Bern, he was entrusted with the leadership of Pherae's army in opposing the invading Kingdom ofBern in lieu of Eliwood's illness, later becoming the leader of the Lycian army as a whole following the death ofHector ofOstia, and ultimately assuming command of theEtrurian army. He sought to assist Bern's PrincessGuinivere in finding a peaceful resolution to the war, to prevent KingZephiel's ambitions of exterminatinghumans and returningElibe to the rule ofdragons.
Roy is the main character ofFire Emblem: The Binding Blade, also appearing briefly as a child in the extended epilogue ofFire Emblem: The Blazing Blade and as abonus character inFire Emblem Awakening.
