Earl Roy Dickover (Erle Roy Dickover, 1888 year January 20 - 1963 April 18, the United States of diplomats . After the reorganization of the State Department in 1944, he served as the first general manager of Japan, and was known as the Chi-Japanese school.
His father was John Jacob Dickover (1860-1948) and his mother was Anna Agnes Meek (1860-1928). He married Helen McNary Ballard on December 1, 1933. Graduated from Santa Barbara High School in California. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of California in 1913. Worked at a bank from 1906 to 1908. In 1909, automobile repair shop auto Rivari , Inc. ( Auto Livery Co. plant manager at).
Appointed as an interpreter trainee on April 4, 1914, and stationed in Japan. Japanese territory from March 30, 1916 Kanto State resident in Dalian vice-consul. Interpreter in Kobe , Japan from June 8, 1916 . From November 23, 1921 to 1932 Consul in Kobe.
Appointed as a diplomat from May 3, 1932, stationed in Tokyo , Japan. First Secretary at the Embassy of Tokyo since May 24, 1932 . Consul-General of Tokyo since April 1, 1937 . Temporarily transferred to the State Department of Washington DC from June 30, 1937. Deputy Director of the Department of State Philippines since July 17, 1937. April 20, 1938 the Dutch East Indies in the standing Batavia Consul General. June 22, 1940 Australia resident in Melbourne, Consul General. Worked at the Department of State's headquarters in Washington DC from June 28, 1943. Since September 1943, he has participated in the inter-departmental Far East Regional Committee, and has planned and proposed specific policy recommendations for various issues regarding postwar treatment in the Far East by the State Department.
From January 15, 1944 to October 22, 1945, the first Director of Japan at the Far East Bureau of the State Department . Member of the American Delegation of the Far East Commission from 1945 to 1947. From 1947 December 3, United Kingdom resident in London , Counselor.
