Daughter of William Edgar Whited and Anna Louisa LaDue Whited.

Married to Dwight S Humeston on Nov. 15, 1905.

Children: Dan, Dwight, and Richard.

Extracted from a 1940 profile: Mary was during her lifetime a trustee of the Albia public library, member of the Albia Woman's Club, member of the State Historical Society, DAR, PEO, and a hobby was collecting antiques and books (of which she had over 2000 volumes.) She was active in other organizations as well.
