Cerebral thrombosis, or a blood clot on the brain, was given as cause of death, which came at a time when attendants marveled at his remarkable recovery from two minor strokes that they thought he suffered last week.
Private funeral services will be conducted in the home at 3:30 p.m. Monday by Dr. Lewis Weber Gishler, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Entombment will be made in the family mausoleum at Beech Grove Cemetery. The family will receive callers at the Meeks Mortuary Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 9-11 a.m. The casket will not be open.
Mr. Ball is survived by his wife, Frances Woodworth Ball, and a daughter, Elisabeth, at home.
