A Good Soldier and an Honored Citizen
Special to The State
Lancaster, Oct. 17 - Col. T. Frank Clyburn of the Twelfth Regiment, South Carolina Volunteers, died at his home in this county after a short illness last night. He was one of the best known and most popular citizens, having been a member of the house of representatives, State Senate and county auditor for several terms. This last official position he held at the time of his death. Col. Clyburn was perhaps one of the youngest men to command a regiment in the Confederate service. The remains will be interred at Douglass church in this county, at 4 p.m. today.

Colonel T. Frank Clyburn of Lancaster, died at his home in that county on Saturday. He was at one time commander of the 12th Regiment of South Carolina Volunteers, and ever since the war has been a very prominent citizen of Lancaster County.

See FAG link 60770561 for Weary Clyburn who went to war with Col. T.F. Clyburn. A beautiful testimony to Mr. Weary. This was friendship, not ownership. May their sacrifice not be forgotten.
