George, Henry's brother is buried in an elaborate grave fashioned after Westminster Abbey. Their brother John M. resides in the Valley Cemetery with a more humble stone.
Henry married Abbie Bond in 1855. Abbie Bond Chandler is the sister of Margaret Bond Harrington, wife of former Mayor Edward Harrington, and Nancy Bond Corliss,wife of restorer and restaurant owner Horliss Corliss, Margaret and her sister are buried side by side in Manchester's Valley Cemetery. Abbie and Henry and family buried in Pine Grove. These 3 sisters all married prominent businessmen. They lived on North Elm St according to the census information, Margaret Bond Harrington lived on North Elm St on the corner of Salmon and Elm and for a time Abbie lived where Brookside Church in a home that was was purchased by Frank Carpenter, razed, and he had a home built for his daughter Mary Carpenter Manning as a wedding gift. The Chandler's moved to a new home on North River Road. Horace Corliss and Nancy Bond lived on the corner of Elm and Webster St which is now Foy Insurance Co. Margaret and his sister were extremely close.
At the time many of those homes did not have numbers but were well known by the postal service and delivery people.
