Father of James Scott Delamater who predeceased him in 1907
Son of George B Delamater who predeceased him in 1907
Mr Delamater was very despondent about the recent deaths of his son and father, and shot himself in his office in the Diamond Banking Building. He worked for Prudential Life Insurance. Was mayor of Meadville at one time.
His bank later failed and was said to have been involved in suspicious banking activities.

descendant of Town Family in Salem "witch" trials; also Mayflower descendant from Elder Brewster.
Died in the Diamond Banking Building, Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co, PA (later PNC Bank).
