May 28, 1850 in Sudbury, MA., she was the
daughter of Edward & Mary (Norcross) Fisher

Hon. John Abbott Goodwin was son of Isaac and Eliza (Hammett).
Goodwin, born 1824, and resided in Lawrence, Mass., where he was editor of a newspaper. Removed from that city to Lowell, Mass., in 1854, and was connected with the well known paper called "Vox Pouli," also editor of the Lowell courier. Represented the city of Lowell in the Legislatures of 1857, 1859, and was Speaker of the House in 1860 and 1861. Postmaster at Lowell from 1861 to 1874, besides filling other local offices. He was deeply interested in historical studies, and has given to the public the results of his labors in his work entitled, "The Pilgrim Republic," an excellent work on the early history of the Old Colony, for which he had a special adaptation.
He died at Lowell, Mass., Sept. 21, 1884, universally respected by those who knew him, and lies buried on this hill, which he took a great interest in.

It was documented in 1892 by Bradford Kingman and
again by Benjamin Drew in 1894.
Attached is a map of Burial Hill from 1892 which shows the
location of the Goodwin family tomb. Burial Hill was mapped
in the 1990's by the Robinson family. The location on the map
indicates that the Goodwin tomb was in section C East of the cemetery.
This memorial was updated on 16 December 2018.

[Marble slab, placed horizontally on columns.
The earlier inscriptions at top rapidly fading out.
The slab is broken across the middle, and the pieces
are held together by iron plates and rivets.]
Mrs. LYDIA CUSHING GOODWIN. Died Decr 15,
1815, aged 53 years. WILLIAM GOODWIN, Jr. died
at Havana, Decr 15, 1821, aged 38 years. WILLIAM
GOODWIN, died July 17th 1825, aged 69 years. SIM-
EON S. GOODWIN died July 27, 1847 aged 65 years.
ISAAC GOODWIN, died at Worcester, Sept. 10, 1832,
aged 46 years. JOHN A. GOODWIN died at Lowell,
Sept. 21, 1884, aged 60 years.
