Frank W. McAllister Dies at Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, June 12. (A/P) — Frank W. McAllister, 75, former Missouri attorney general and state senator, died yesterday. His health had been failing several months.
McAllister was the author of mine safety and inspection laws during two terms in the state senate from 1904 to 1912. He served as attorney general from 1916 to 1920 during the term of the late Governor Frederick D. Gardner.
He had been city attorney at Paris, Mo., from 1896 to 1900, and had served one term as Monroe county prosecutor, 1901-02. He entered law practice here in 1922, and retired seven years ago.

Friends Are Remembered In Will Of Frank McAllister
Two Paris friends of Frank W. McAllister, former Missouri attorney-general and native of Paris, are remembered in the lawyer's will, filed at Kansas City. A casting rod and reel were left to Stapleton Bodine and a 16-gauge shotgun with duplicate barrels to Grady Warren. The lawyer gave $6,000, a car and hunting clothes to Mr. and Mrs. Roy McCowen, Negro servants in his home and on hunting and fishing trips for a number of years.
Mr. McAllister left his books to the Dulany library at Paris, and left $200 to the city of Paris for the maintenance of Walnut Grove cemetery there.
Mr. McAllister was city attorney of Paris and later prosecuting attorney of Monroe county in "Little, Dixie," before he was elected to the Missouri Senate.
The remainder of the estate, of total value not yet estimated, is left equally to seven cousins: W. G. Caldwell of Monroe City, Mo.; A. D. McAllister, Edgar McAllister, Stella McAllister and Madge McAllister, all of Fayetteville; Nancy Jane Morrison of Los Angeles and Doris Sue Potter of El Paso, Tex.
