The College Football Playoff Bracket for the 2025 season will be unveiled by the selection committee on Sunday, Dec. 7.

The 2025 season will be the second for the College Football Playoff (CFP) with a 12-team format, which begins with the First Round games on campus on Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20.

The four highest-ranked teams will be seeded one through four and will receive a first-round bye. The remaining teams will be seeded 5 through 12 based on their final ranking. If any of the five highest-ranked conference champions falls outside of the top 12, they will be seeded at the bottom of the 12-team pool.

The College Football Playoff quarterfinals begin on New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, Dec. 31) with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl. Quarterfinal round action continues on New Year’s Day, Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, with games at the Capital One Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl Game, and Allstate Sugar Bowl.

The College Football Playoff Semifinals will be played at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 8, and at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Friday, Jan. 9. The College Football National Championship is slated for Monday, Jan. 19, 2026 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
